Davidson Rides Again

The weather was perfect for our scenic 6.5 mile ride.

We followed the bike sharrows down Woodland Ave to the Cal Park Hill Tunnel.

In Larkspur Landing we rode the bike path by the ferry.

Along the scenic Corte Madera Creek Path we stopped at Niven Park.

SF Ferry Ride

We had our final ride to San Francisco via the ferry today!

Over Sir Frances Drake Blvd.

Waiting for the boat.

We used all the bike parking.

Leaving Marin; Corte Madera Creek & Mt Tam.

More great views from the ferry, Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill.

Off the ferry and into the city.

A few last instructions before riding the Embarcadero path.

Our first stop was famous Pier 39 where the sea lions lounge.

We took a break to explore the pier.

After walking around we got back to the bikes.

Giant tour bus on our left and a streetcar to our right.

Time to refuel.

Posters and GeoCaching

I can't wait to see how the posters turned out!

I missed last week but Gwen and Shu took the handlebars. Our club started planning our spring promotional contests (Go Green Days!) and started making posters for the events.

Club t-shirts are coming!

Then Shu had the class test their GeoCaching skills nearby. Sounds like fun!

GeoCaching = GPS + Treasure Hunt!

Bike Ride next week, hope for good weather!

Lego Bikes and Movies

Our ride was delayed again this week by rain. Instead we made bikes from Shu's Legos!

We watched some fun vids like this race between a car, bike, transit, and boat.

March 8, 2012

We took this week to celebrate our club members!

In the sun we ate pizza, played bocce ball and soccer, and visited wildcare.

Wildcare is right behind Albert Field, which will soon host a pro-baseball team.

Our ride next week will be the 15th meeting of the Davidson Bike Club.
See you Thursday!

Rainy Day Ride

The rain delayed our ride to Pickleweed Park, but we made good use of the time.

We discussed future ride destinations and the design of our t-shirt.

Stay tuned for the official Davidson Bike Club T-Shirt!

After shooting some hoops with the inflatable globes, we test ran Shu's new Longitude and Latitude bike lesson. It was fun to have a trivia question about a city that we find using coordinates.

Sprinkle in a few bike videos and it made for a good rainy day meeting!

See you Thursday next week, Room 81. 1-2:30!
